Position summary:

Warehouse keeper directs activities of the store personnel to ensure the timely, expedient and cost effective shipping and receiving, transporting, loading and checking of the materials. Also to ensure the effective and safe management of company assets as set out by the company's Standard Operating Procedures [SOP’s] and policies across all warehouses. This is to ensure that company assets are safely and securely stored and accounted for as per inventory catalogue and stock control management.    

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Store Keeping
    • Store activities Control by ensuring a daily comparison of recorded stock (system stock) level vs. physical is conducted in all warehouses.
    • Ensures inventory control through proper warehousing practices, including product count, FIFO (First In/ First Out) procedures control through supervision of good check-in and check-out procedures.
    • Plans an overall work program for the warehouse, including materials :
      • Handling.
      • Loading.
      • Offloading.
      •  Reloading.
      • Repacking.
      • Housekeeping.
  • Documents update & control
    • To be responsible for fulfilling the documentation related to inventory movement (receiving GRNs & dispatching Issue notes ).
    • To update products movement records on daily basis and communicate to Supply Chain team.
    • To sort out the products at custody, report their status, damages or missing parts and communicate to Supply chain team.                                            
  • HSSE Maintainance
    • Ensures execution of Health , Satety , security & envirment policies in warehouses and all storage areas .                       
  • Local legislation assurance:
    • To ensure that warehouse and related assets are maintain within local legislations procedures ( Licenses , approvals ..etc.)                                        
  • Assets control
    • To be responsible for protecting the company assets and stock at their assigned locations. 
    • To ensuring that all company assets within warehouse are inline with assets records .                                            
  • Inventory control:
    • To perform internal weekly stock-taking in cordintion with inventory supervisor and communicate result with supply chain team.
    • Maintains an accurate daily and monthly stock inventory
  • WH Logistics coordination 
    • Ensure effective delivery of transportation orders including customer deliveries and inventory items movement ( WH to WH) to meet set levels of customer service.
    • Maintain and ensure that quality Logistic standards in the WH and practices are followed in line with expected company requirements.
    • Ensure that insurance cover is in place for the warehouses and equipment related to safeguard losses for recovery of loss or damage as the need arises.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

  • High Secondary Certificate.
  • 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience.                                            
  • Experience in Agriculture Industry.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Warehouse Management .                                           
  • Microsoft Office & ERP.                                            
  • Communication.
